Akhilesh Choudhary
About
Akhilesh Choudhary is a Ph.D. Scholar in the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi, India. His research interests include injury prevention through biomechanics, biomechanical analysis for performance enhancement, impact biomechanics, and finite element modeling, working at the intersection of sports biomechanics to address emerging challenges in athlete lower-extremity injury prevention. His doctoral research, titled "Biomechanical Investigation of Lower Extremity Impact Injury Mitigation", combines experimental and computational methods — UTM testing, CAD, meshing, simulation, and measurement of force, plantar pressure, and displacement — to understand lower-extremity impact biomechanics, determine how athletes' injuries can be prevented, and propose advanced design strategies for enhanced impact mitigation
