Alaa Aldin Ghazal

Dr. Alaa Aldin Ghazal is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, working under the supervision of Prof. Arnab Chanda. His research interests include wearable sensing systems, biomedical instrumentation, embedded systems, IoT, biomechanics, and real-time health monitoring. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where his research focused on developing an embedded system for measuring six-degree-of-freedom head kinematics during impact events. His work involved wearable inertial sensing, high-g accelerometry, real-time data acquisition, embedded systems, and experimental validation for head-impact monitoring. Currently, his research at IIT Delhi focuses on developing an IoT-enabled smart insole platform for healthcare monitoring and gait analysis, integrating plantar-pressure sensing, embedded electronics, wireless communication, and real-time data visualization. He holds an M.Tech. in Mechatronics Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, where he graduated as a Gold Medalist with first rank.
