Romika Rathi

Romika recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Jodhpur. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in fashion design, product development, design research, and creative problem-solving, with a particular interest in functional and technology integrated products. During her academic journey, she worked on several design and product development projects, exploring the integration of functionality, aesthetics, materials, and emerging technologies. Her project experience includes the development of smart wearable concepts and functional garments, through which she gained exposure to market research, competitor analysis, product development, costing, and packaging design. She is currently working as a Project Associate at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi, under the mentorship of Prof. Arnab Chanda, contributing to interdisciplinary product development and design-related activities. Her professional interests lie at the intersection of fashion, technology, materials, and human centred design, with a focus on developing practical and innovative solutions to real world problems.
