Shivam Verma
About
Shivam Verma is a Ph.D. scholar at the School of Interdisciplinary Research (SIRe), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India. His research lies at the intersection of biomechanics, mechanical vibrations, computational modeling, and experimental biomechanics, with a particular focus on understanding the effects of harmful vibrations on the human body. His doctoral research centers on the development of mathematical, computational, and biofidelic models of the human spine and brain to investigate vibration transmissibility, injury mechanisms, and their physiological implications. Through finite element analysis and experimental validation, his work aims to improve the understanding of vibration-induced injuries and contribute to the design of ergonomic interventions and protective technologies for occupational safety, transportation, and public health. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of biomechanics, vibration analysis, and computational modelling.
