Vishnu Teja Chandhavaram
About
Vishnu Teja Chandhavaram worked as a Junior Research Fellow in the Healthcare Engineering Lab at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, under the mentorship of Prof. Arnab Chanda. His research focuses on computational biomechanics, finite element modeling, and impact biomechanics, with particular emphasis on traumatic brain injury, human head–neck mechanics, protective equipment design, and fluid–structure interaction of biological tissues. His current work involves high-fidelity finite element simulations of ballistic and sports-related head impacts, development of user material subroutines (UMAT/VUMAT), and numerical modeling of composite helmet failure and skull fracture mechanisms. He also works on patient-specific biomechanical simulations, including dental implant biomechanics, osseointegration studies, 3D-printed biofidelic tissue models, and vibration analysis of the human brain and spine. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Applied Mechanics from the Department pf Applied Mechanics, IIT Delhi.
